HELLO, I’M NICOLE
Thank you for visiting my blog! I have always found it difficult to talk about myself, probably because I feel so “normal” when it comes to everyday life. So here goes nothing; Currently, I reside in the great state of Texas and have my entire life. I have been married a bunch of years to a perfect man for me and we have two handsome sons, I might be a tad bias. Before the family I graduated from University of North Texas in 2000 with a bachelor’s in finance and a minor in accounting. In 2004 I completed my MBA from Texas A&M University-Commerce. Over the last 15 years I have held positions in both finance and currently as a senior accountant at a non-profit.
I grew up in a Christian home and have continued in that faith presently. Life experiences have allowed me to mature, both spiritually and emotionally. The older I get the better I become at keeping everyday challenges in perspective. As the years past I have found out a lot of things I enjoy; encouraging people, sharing hope, watching and playing lots of sports (I think that is why God blessed me with boys), anything related to Sedona, AZ, reading, and teaching about personal finance. This is the short version.
With all of this said, why a blog and why now? This world we live in continues to get more and more negative every day. There are so many people out there with such strong opinions about subjects they either never experienced themselves or even took the time to research. I love having intelligent deep conversations with friends without all the hate and pessimism. A blog allows me to put these conversations on paper and spread a little optimism for the future of this crazy world we live in. We do not have to have the same beliefs or see eye to eye on every relative issue to have a simple conversation about it. I hope you at least walk away encouraged.
